I used to really really struggle with math and other subjects. However, at some point I was convinced by my parents to do at least one tutoring session. That tutor managed to change my mind from recognizing patterns to thinking logically about math. Since then, I haven't had a problem with math and am currently excelling in my first Calculus class. Despite not having a history in tutoring, I would love to be able to provide that support to another child and I believe I would be able to do that. Studying Behavioral Neuroscience and working in a pet rehabilitation center where I taught children about many animals has given me lots of perspective. :)
