I was a substitute teacher many moons ago and at the same time babysat two neighbor girls after school for about a year. Recently I started work as an RBT in ABA for children with autism, but was disappointed with the company. However, I enjoyed evrry minute with my clients, ages 3 and 5, with whom I worked one-on-one in homes. I tend to be a strict and conscientious parent (my kids also say I am the fun parent), but when working with other children, I realize it's necessary to adapt to the family. It's so important for me for children to be able to tell that I care about them and feel safe. I will have conversations with your child, encouraged varied, hands-on activity, encourage staying off screens, go outside, help around the house, and have fun cooking or doing crafts. I'm happy to help with school work, meal prep and light cleaning.
