About Sydney

I began working with kids in 2017 when I was a babysitter for family and friends. In 2018 I began volunteering at Enchanted Mesa Daycare and continued for 3 more years where I primarily volunteered in the infant/toddler room. In 2018 I also began volunteering at Shinning Stars Preschool working with 4 and 5-year-olds. I continued to volunteer at schools such as Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School and Horizon Academy West in their pre-k and kindergarten classes. Through these experiences I have felt the joy of contributing to children reaching their milestones and aiding them in overcoming their hurdles and celebrating their successes. I have learned multiple strategies to scaffold their fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Growing up with a mom who is an early childhood teacher has taught me to see each child's uniqueness and individual qualities. I've seen how to make learning fun in all stages of development.
