About Suzanne

I am an empty nester who has worked with children my whole life. I began babysitting before I was out of elementary school. At Vanderbilt, I majored in Elementary Education and then taught school before my own children were born. As I raised my two sons, now 25 and 22, I switched to working in a part-time preschool environment. After my youngest son went to college, I returned to the classroom full-time. My husband and I have recently moved to Texas, and I would like to continue working with children, without returning to the classroom at this time. I enjoy reading, baking and cooking, all types of exercise, particularly yoga, and spending time with my husband and two dogs. My favorite activity to do with children is reading. I believe reading is fundamental to academic success, so I strive to make it fun, engaging, and something children want to do on their own. I am looking for a consistent nanny job, with either full or part time hours.
