While I am a middle school math teacher by occupation, having grown up on a small farm, I'm comfortable around all animals (with the exception of furry spiders). I am most proficient at taking care of dogs (any size), cats, chickens (including the occasional mean rooster), indoor birds of all stripes, rabbits, and hamsters. I do not have any experience taking care of ferrets or lizards, so this would not be something I'd want to try without training. I'm comfortable with light grooming and cleaning up poop in all its various forms. I would prefer to stay local (Little Compton, Tiverton, Westport area) and am happy to provide references.
