About Sutton

Hello!! My name is Sutton and I'm currently a psychology major at UCLA with a minor in applied developmental psychology. I'm going into my fourth year and looking for a consistent job over the school year! Most of my experience, both in and outside of school, is around children. I have several years of babysitting experience, caring for children ranging from 3 to 15 years old. Last summer, I interned at a child therapy center and learned a lot about how to care for children with autism spectrum disorder. Currently, I am a student intern at the UCLA Infant Development Program for my minor, where I care for 3 to 32-month-olds. Here, I have been trained on the RIE method of caregiving, which emphasizes the importance for children to be apart of their own development and to be treated with respect and individuality. This method has also made me very intentional in my language use towards children! Lastly, I know some baby sign and have lots of experience with nap time and diaper changes.
