About Susy

Susy is an incredibly important part of our family. We don't just trust her with our kids, but we deeply value her knowledge and experience as a caregiver and we feel incredibly blessed to have her calm, compassionate and steady presence in our children's lives, and in ours too! She manages our very lively twins, and their big brother, with love, understanding and good humor while also being gently firm as they test boundaries and helping them understand what is expected of them in age-appropriate ways. It has always been clear to us that she respects children and knows they are capable of a lot and she has helped ours build their confidence and independence by consistently and patiently helping them learn to do things for themselves (e.g. getting dressed, potty-training, cleaning, cooking, etc.) which we feel is really important, but being chronically tired and busy with work, we often take the easy road and do these things ourselves. She's also been a really important partner in helping us manage our son's life-threatening allergies and been with us through a number of very stressful situations where she's demonstrated she's very clear-thinking and steady.
