About Susie

Hello! My name is Susie. I was a stay at home mom (kids are long grown up now), and part-time nanny for many years. More recently, I've worked as a care provider for Seniors (both as an independent contractor, as well as with Senior Helpers), and was a Hospice Volunteer with ProCare Hospice for four years (until lockdown). Many patients I visited had dementia. During lockdown, I began working full-time babysitting my grandnephews, one of whom is autistic. Now that he's in public school full time, I'm only on breakfast/school bus duty early in the morning. What I say next will be certain to offend. I'm Heritage American, with old fashioned values: I can relate to the experiences of your elders, as well as pass those values on to the next generation. The lowest common denominator caregiver cannot give you what they don't possess.
