Hi, my name is Susan and I am interested in doing some child care. My last child care position was for almost three years with the same child, get him ready for school each school day and drive him to school. Then in the afternoons, I would pick him up from school and assist him with homework. I had to end the position because I moved upstate. But I'm back in Brooklyn again for good!! Before this position, I had taken care of a special needs baby for two years, then her new born brother for 71/2 years . I am leaving out other positions I have held . I am experienced with young children and older children, with disabilities or not. I was a special education teacher in NYC. Susan has worked as our babysitter for our daughter with special needs for two years, and we have been extremely lucky to have her in our lives. She is incredibly warm, caring, and loving towards our daughter. She is more than capable of handling all of our daughter's special needs, including the fact that our daughter is wheelchair-bound, non-verbal and is g-tube fed. She has boundless energy and is always working with our daughter to keep her engaged and entertained. She is also extremely trustworthy and responsible, and makes sure to arrive not only on time, but early, to ensure that she is home when our daughter gets off of the school bus. We offer our highest recommendation to anyone seeking a caregiver for their child.
