About Susan

I'd describe my personality as encouraging, creative, patient, faithful and positive. I like caring for seniors because when I cared for my mother as sole caregiver for 10 years during which time I had to figure out her daily conditions because she didn't want to be a burden, I felt more purposeful than ever before. Her life expectancy was 3-4 years and she lived 10 years with supportive care and 6 excellent doctors and specialists. I am caring, empathetic and supportive and enjoy the stories seniors like to tell. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my dog, friends and I like to be creative and trying new crafty ideas. One thing you should know about me is I will always give my full attention and respect towards your loved one. My skills include noticing changes from baseline, making creative negotiations that result in actions required (such as getting them to eat), listening for any wants or needs that could improve your loved one's life.
