Hi! My name is Susan. My daily routine is to meet your child where they are on that particular day. It is valuable to make sure they are fed well, read to extensively, sung to, taken outside to explore, but mostly to be listened to. I talk to them a lot because they are building their language which is a key factor in learning to read. I also ask quite a bit of open ended questions all while having fun. I also like to take them places to give them background experiences. I have raised three children of my own and have Nannied for over 30 family over 34 years. I have an elementary education degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and taught remedial reading for 6 years. I stopped teaching for the school district, but never seemed to stop teaching children. I can supply consistency and expectations.... 2 things children need. I respect them and in turn they respect me. I have had some great little people in all my years caring for children!

Susan always had fun activities planned for my son whether it was puzzles, playdough, baking, reading books from the library, or trips around town to the children’s museum, playground, or pool. She was great at keeping him on schedule for naps and meals. My son absolutely loved her.
