About Susanne

Looking forward to working with students who need help in math, grades 2- Algebra 1. I am a retired teacher with 30 years of teaching experience. I bring compassion to my tutoring in the hopes of building confidence in my students. I'd describe my personality as caring, compassionate and a believer that all can learn. I like tutoring because of the joy that comes from a student "getting it"!!! I'm looking for a job that one on one to small group. I started tutoring over the past 30 years of teaching. In my spare time, I like to hike, garden and spend time with friends, family and grandkids. One thing you should know about me is I believe all students can learn. I use math manipulatives, movement, and practice to teach and reinforce concepts. I look for connections between students interests and math concepts. My skills include understanding of common core standards, traditional standards and knowing the progression of standards K- Algebra 1.
