I am a college grad with a degree in sociology. I have spent the last 6months tutoring my granddaughter, she was failing both math and reading. She has now caught up with her class and is performing at grade level!! . I think that often times, kids need visuals to get the knack of seeing numbers in groups. Reading is primary to everything we learn. I am great with phonics and giving positive praise. We read aloud and sometimes use flash cards, but repetition is so helpful. I offer 2 hours free, that way you can judge for yourself if my methods work for your child.
