About Susan
Hello! I am looking for a position in which I might support your family with childcare, tutoring and/or cooking. I have a Masters in Education with 30 years experience teaching 5-12-year-old children in schools and summer programs. My particular areas of skill are the language and visual arts. I spent many years as well caring for toddlers in daycare programs and at home. Warm and playful, resourceful and reliable, I also speak French fluently and am conversant in Hebrew. I am also a passionate and creative vegetarian cook. My menus include soups, stews, grains, legumes, cooked vegetables and fresh salads, many with Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Indian and North African origins and flavors. I can prepare dishes in my home, in yours, or just get ready the meals you have already organized for your family. Finally, I lived with dogs for many years, and currently have three cats, so would be delighted to help out with your own fur children. I look forward to speaking with you!

We were fortunate to have Susi lead a study pod for our first grader son and his friend from school. The two boys were not the most cooperative when it comes to following the schedule and staying focused with the remote school work, but Susi was able to guide them through the school day, and even more importantly, engage them with additional fun and educational activities. She brought a lot of materials, books, and games and drew on her wealth of experience as a teacher to more than compensate for what they were missing out by not being in school. She is warm and caring, very easy to work with and responsive to our needs. We are grateful that she was able to develop individual relationships with each of the boys and help them through their difficulties and frustrations. Thank you Susi!
