About Summer

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, eager to learn, and responsible. I like working with animals because they do so much for us as companions and family. I'm looking for a job that will make it easier for owner AND pet needs to be met simultaneously. I started working with animals as a manager at a pet supply store that involved feeding cats, small mammals, rodents, reptiles and amphibians, as well as cleaning their enclosures or kennels. In my spare time, I like to explore new places, hike, search for hidden gems in antique shops, and listen to my vinyl record collection. One thing you should know about me is that I am willing to do whatever makes life easier for you so that your pets are well taken care of. My skills include paying attention to body language and boundaries to make your pet calm and comfortable, fair knowledge of small animal/reptile care, and being able to walk/run/play for high-energy pets or just sit and relax for low-energy pets based on needs.
