About Summer

I have 30 years of experience caring for children of all ages & in many different settings. I've babysat since I was 12, have worked in a gym in the kids corner, worked as a nanny, in a hospital setting in all areas of the hospital, in a daycare/learning center, as a preschool teacher, caring for a handful of children in my home, working at an outdoor camp & now have had the pleasure of being a full time parent for 10 years & have homeschooled my child for the last 5 years & before then was very active in joining in for Storytime at our local library & exploring nature & music. I'm very passionate about protecting & nourishing a child's spirit/true authentic self. I have learned many ways to be patient & recognize a child's behavior as a call to meet their needs. Through being a parent, I have learned how to soften & be more loving/gentle to both myself & my child & in turn w/ everyone around me. I enjoy nature, reading, learning & growing my capacity to love.
