About Summer

Hello! I taught upper elementary for 7 years before I got married and moved to Spokane. During this time I have worked with students at many academic levels of ability and across all subjects. In order to differentiate appropriately I have attended trainings addressing skills across all elementary grade levels, including reading skills from the foundational basics to higher level comprehension and analysis as well as mathematical skills and strategies across the board. For three years I led the Math is Cool Program for students who excel in mathematics, and I also volunteered in a lower elementary room working with groups of students to expand their number sense. I am pregnant and due mid-December, so would need to break any regularly scheduled work around that time with the possibility of picking up again come Spring, if appropriate for the circumstance.
