My wife and I interviewed Summer about watching our newborn twins a month before we needed her to watch our kids. The interview went great and we agreed on a starting date. We also made loose plans for a trial day before we definitively needed her. She gave us a week before and after she was leaving town for vacation to coordinate all of this. The week before we reached out to her twice and she informed us she couldn't because she had another job, something she didn't mention at all in the interview. She was also very delayed in returning text message which was very frustrating. We figured it's okay, we will arrange it when she gets back from vacation. During the end of the vacation, we reached out to her to set up a time to together and she informed us that she had the flu and her return date had changed to a later date. Again, things happen no big deal. We asked if we could meet at the end of the week in which she told us she had a doctor appointment and couldn't meet. We began to get frustrated. She had another doctors appointment the day following her return and agreed we would figure out the plans based on what the doctor said. We began to really start to doubt if she would come through. The evening of her first doctors appointment my wife messaged her once again because she had not reached out. She said she was diagnosed with pneumonia and hand, foot, and mouth disease. This was the final straw. We are beyond angry. After trying to arrange our first ever nanny for over a month, we are now left without a nanny days before needing one. When we told her it wasn't going to work out, not only did she not apologize but she didn't text back at all. I would caution anyone wanting her services based on her lack of communication, leading us on for an entire month and not following through with her commitments.
