We hired her in December with the clear intentions of giving more hours once my wife's maternity leave was over. We clearly communicated schedules, needs and expectations. After 2 weeks of training her, she went on vacation for 5 weeks, came back and was sick another week and then said that the pay and hours weren't working for her. We were willing to accommodate her but she quit via text with no real reason. Had she told us from the beginning, we would've found someone else in those 6 weeks. Now my wife has to go back to work and we don't have a new sitter. She wasted our time and poorly communicated which is very unfair to working parents.
