After an extensive career in the technology industry, I have decided to pursue the highly respected career as a Companion/Caregiver. I truly believe that all people, regardless of their age or illness deserve the respect, courtesy and assistance that can be provided by someone who cares. To date, I have had the pleasure of working with two wonderful families that were looking for someone to be both a companion and caregiver for their male loved one. This included, in home and traveling companionship, light meal preparation, toileting and bathing assist, travel to /from medical appointments What opened my eyes to this profession is my own personal experience providing Caregiver services to my mother for over two years after she was diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer's and cancer where she became bedridden and eventually succumbed to final peace. I have since realized the significant impact a caregiver can provide to those who are in need and to some extent unable to do for themselves.
