I come from a long line of home care workers. My mother, grandmother, elder sister, and several aunties have all been caregivers. These women instilled in me the responsibility we all have to nurture and act as caregivers for each other. My mom is my biggest advocate and acts as my "Senior Advisor," as I transitioned from the son of a caregiver to a caregiver in my own right. Throughout the years, I have seen how my mom's clients and their families welcome and embrace her because of the seriousness, pride, and tenderness she brings to delivering care. These are the same qualities that I strive to emulate as a caregiver.
