About Steve

Hello, My name is Steve and my wife and I live in Bellingham. My career paths have included an interest in nursing and being a chaplain in the armed services. Both of these paths converged in a career of teaching and coaching in schools and of developing the potential of employees as a corporate trainer. Everything I've done has had an element of service or ministry to it. My experience working with seniors began when I was a boy and I showed an interest in and a respect for the senior members of our church. I enjoyed listening to their stories and recognized how much I had to learn from them. Through the years, I've been fortunate to care for my parents, step-parents and for two years, I provided extensive care for my previous wife who eventually passed away from cancer. At different times I've helped with bathing, bathroom needs, meal preparation, feeding, reading aloud, playing games and mostly asking questions and listening. I am an extremely patient and gentle person.
