About Stephanie

I'd describe my personality as caring, creative and dedicated. I like tutoring because I enjoy motivating my students and helping them realize their potential. I want them to grow as learners and see themselves as capable, intelligent and successful. I'm looking for a job that is focused on helping elementary learners become stronger readers and/or mathematicians. I am a trained Orton-Gillingham instructor, so my main focus is helping struggling readers build their foundational reading and phonics skills. I have been tutoring throughout my 22 year teaching career. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, read and try new recipes. One thing you should know about me is I am passionate about teach children to read. My skills include elementary reading, writing and math, as well as Orton-Gillingham based phonics instruction.
