I have a MS degree in special education and have been teaching for over 30 years. My certification is from birth through high school. I have taught children with special needs from a few months of age up to age 12. I am looking for opportunities to do some teaching or tutoring over the summer months. Depending on the area, I may be available during the school year as well.

Stephanie was a game-changer for my 8 year old daughter. I hired Stephanie to work with my daughter to help her with her reading. I felt she was a bit behind in comparison to her peers and wanted to get her caught up. After only about 4-5 sessions with Stephanie, my daughter is reading much more fluently and has more confidence. She literally went from avoiding reading at all costs to now wanting to figure out challenging words on her own. Stephanie initially met with us, did a reading assessment, and determined what tools/games were needed to build up my daughter's skills. She also used a lot of positive reinforcement and encouragement, which made a tremendous difference. Also, very importantly, she gave me lots of material to take so that I can work with my daughter myself. At this point, my little girl no longer needs tutoring, thanks to Stephanie. Highly recommend!
