I began my journey teaching 2nd through 5th grade in Florida. I moved back to New York to be close to my family 30 years ago. The next 10 years, I taught babies and preschoolers in several different environments. I provided home based and center based services to babies and preschoolers from a few months of age to age 5. I traveled to day care centers and head start to provide inclusive services. My public school experience included teaching a self contained 12:1:1 class of children with varying needs. I also taught first, third and fourth grade students as a consultant teacher. I loved every moment of this journey, but my heart was with the children in my self contained classroom. Each day was an adventure, as the children worked so hard to exceed beyond the challenges they faced. I recently retired from a 36 year adventure teaching!
