About Stephanie

I have been a Hawaii DOE elementary school teacher for the past 10. 5 years. I have taught 2 years of 2nd grade, 4 years in Grade 6 and 4. 5 years in Grade 5. I am a General Education teacher in an inclusion classroom. I practice differentiation and inclusion teaching with respect to my student's needs and strengths. I teach all subject areas; English Language Arts (ELA) which included reading comprehension and writing, Math, Social Studies and Science. I have been trained in Project Based Learning (PBL) through the DOE Campbell Complex and Mid-Pacific Institute's Kupu Hou PBL program. My teaching philosophy is to build a sense of love for learning in students. Once this is established, the sky is the limit for any child. Knowledge and mastery of foundational skills in both reading, writing and math is incredibly important and often overlooked as a solution to many struggling learners. I look forward to getting to know my students and connecting with them.
