About Starlyn

After gaining my Care for the Elderly Certificate and working with the elderly for over 20 years, I realized that this is the field for me. Seeing the smiles on their faces or even a little nod makes my job rewarding. Making the elderly happy and comfortable is the key reason that I care for them. I am good with medication assistance and have worked with different patients, including para and quadriplegic, Autistic, Alzheimer's, dementia, multiple sclerosis, G-tube, diabetes, indwelling catheter and other health issues. Working in this field, has led me to working in different environments including homes, and other facilities, but best of all the VA nursing home giving care to those who sacrificed and worked to protect us. Throughout the years of working with the elderly I've become a better listener, more patient and best of all more understanding of their needs. I enjoy reading and singing to my patients, and hope that I would be a good fit for the position. Thank you.
