Working ONLY as a NEWBORN CARE SPECIALIST and Consultant. I'm well known for my work & sleep training skills with babies. Over 25yrs in E. C. E. It's my passion! Experience w/infant/toddler care, preschool teacher & director, nanny, night nanny, sleep trainer, newborn care specialist/consulting. B. A. in Child Development, CPR/First Aid cert., Tdap & flu shots, certified(background checked, fingerprint cleared). Experience w/newborn singletons, twins & triplets. I've worked in Napa, Sacramento region, S. F., San Jose, Saratoga, RWC, Oakland etc. You may ask why? My answer is, to find a good fit. Just as it isn't always easy to find the right caregiver, it isn't always easy to find the right job/family. I believe in loving & nurturing every child, & that every child is unique. Communication is key. I also love animals! My primary residence is in Sacramento area but 90% of my clients (over 13yrs) are in the bay area, & I can stay w/family or friends if needed when I'm in the bay.

I should start this review by noting I was hesitant to find child care online (reputable as care.com is), rather than through a personal referral. Stacy changed that. From her very first reply to my initial message, she worked to earn and build the trust of two anxious new parents. While caring for our baby, Stacy was the perfect blend of warm and professional. She was punctual, reliable, and an excellent communicator (including sending encouraging texts to us when we needed help with the parental parts of sleep training.) In addition to her kind and caring demeanor, Stacy has serious skills and experience. She helped our daughter learn to sleep through the night when she was just shy of four months old - and so much went into this. Stacy helped us with everything from moving our daughter from a mini crib in our room to a big crib in her own room, to improving our swaddles (and helping us transition her out of the swaddle when it was time.) She even helped our daughter begin to get comfortable (safely) sleeping on her stomach, once she began to roll. Stacy taught our daughter the skills to sleep well, and gave us the confidence to be the great parents we knew we could be, but didn't know *how* to be (there's only so much you can learn from books). Can't recommend her enough. ---- Additional side note for all of the "moderately granola" parents out there: I am a parent who believes in baby wearing and tries to minimize things like plastic toys and petroleum-based baby care products. So I was initially a little bit hesitant to sleep train. Stacy introduced the concept gently and in a completely reasonable, baby-friendly way. And I'm glad she did, because both baby and parents are thriving.
