I left the corporate world in 2010 to begin working as a nanny. First I worked for a friend, then did it for a living. I love kids and have found that being an influence in a child's life is far more fulfilling than my work as an executive assistant. I've worked with kids with special needs (both physical and emotional), and have worked with all age groups. My goal as a nanny is to not only be a positive influence in a child's life, but to help out where I can in order to make the parents' time with their child pure quality. As a new dad I didn't know what to expect when looking for childcare. With the difficulty finding childcare in Ithaca I wasn't expecting to find someone so quickly. Stacie was the only interview we had for watching our daughter. Full transparency I hired her before even calling her references. Though when I did Stacie's reference said "You lucked out, you will be spoiled with how good Stacie is." Stacie was consistent with discipline, encouraging with games, and made sure our daughter had plenty of adventures. If you have the opportunity to hire Stacie, do it.
