My last job was working for a blind veteran who needed meal preparation, transportation to appointments, and running errands such paying his bills and buying groceries. Before that, I worked for an older lady with mild dementia that needed reminders for medication and bathing. I did meal prep, laundry, and provided light housekeeping. Prior to that, I worked as part of a team to take care of a 104-year-old lady. I prepped meds and meals for her until her passing. My previous job was taking care of a gentleman w/Lewy Body Dementia. I prepped meals, meds, and provided redirection when he would occasionally become agitated until he was placed in a memory care facility. I'd describe my personality as trustworthy, personable, and dependable. I started caring for seniors when I noticed that the older people in my community needed assistance. These are the elders that I grew up seeing in church or in school. They helped shape my life growing up so I wanted to give back.
