About Stacie

Working with children is my passion. I am dedicated to working with parents and families. I started working with children while in high school at the child care center that provided care for teen parents. This was the beginning for me, and I knew that working with children would be in my future. Since those early days I was a stay at home mom for eight years with our four children. I have cared for several friends' children before and after school and summers in my home. I was a parent volunteer for four years at a local elementary school being in class at least once a week and going on all field trips. I worked for four years in a childcare center in Lake Stevens before changing jobs and working at an early head start program for two years. I was also a foster parent, and adopted our oldest son when he was 11 years old. I have participated in a public online school for 2 of my boys with one of them graduating from the online school. I have an AA in Arts and Science, taking both Early Childhood Education and General Education classes. I recently completed the classes for the Child Development Degree. I have participated in several trainings over the years including foster parenting training.
