Stacee is great with children. She is patient and kind with them and really follows a "gentle" approach. What she was NOT AT ALL good with was respecting my expectations as a mother and doing the "light housework". One example that stands out is the fact that she attempted to tell me my daughter needed to stop co-sleeping or stop being breastfed because she wasn't taking long naps during the day. I did not hire you to tell me how to care for my children. Furthermore, she billed herself as an early childhood educator but only exposed my son to 3-4 letters in the 6 months she was with us. Stacee continued to suggest that I was passive aggressive in my approach at complimenting her and then telling her how I wanted something done. She suggested she understood that was my mode of communication, but continued to call it passive aggressive and was not receptive. Ultimately, she resigned with two weeks notice but did not meet my standards during the two weeks - she was more like a glorified babysitter in the last month of caring for my children. She ended up quitting mid day while the children were asleep because I was frustrated that she facetimed me to show my one year old walking - after I repeatedly expressed my desire to be uninformed when baby hit milestones on her watch. That was truly a rude and petty gesture but she attempted to tell my husband she was being thoughtful. When I text to apologize for my response and to ask her not to encourage my daughter to walk anymore (watched her doing so on the nanny cam) she called my husband to come home immediately as she was quitting because my message was again, passive aggressive and she no longer could work for me. If you do not want to be left hanging when you need support, do not hire Stacee. If you are a low maintenance parent, she might be more up your ally. DO NOT hire her for the fact that she offers light housekeeping - her salary was not worth the effort she gave. Again though, she's great with kids - not so great with women who expect her to meet their expectations regarding your home and how you want her to interact with you or your children. She was very comfortable chatting it up with me husband though. To be fair, I do have high expectations and some annoying quirks like not wanting fragrance in my home, tight TV/screentime rules, very particular about what music is played (UGH - she used to play her own music on my son's spotify account and it drove me insane), don't allow care giver to feed kids fast food (took her a few times of me saying it for her to finally give up - she did continue to buy him stuff like Doritos which I never approved of). So if you are anything like me - don't bother with Stacee because I think she is looking for someone who will let her just do her thing without having to give her much feedback. She is very routined and did great with keeping the kids into daily habits.
