About Sophie

Looking forward to being a resource for you and your family! I returned to Rhode Island last fall and began as an elementary substitute teacher in Woonsocket, which included being a classroom head (roughly 25 students), 1 to 1 care, and assistance in special needs classrooms. Prior, I lived in New York, California, and South Carolina. In 2015, I graduated URI with two majors; art history and communication studies. During my attendance, I played for the lacrosse team and upheld a bakery job in Peacedale. In the summers, I'd go to my hometown on Long Island, NY and work as a calm water beach lifeguard. Currently, most of my free time is spent doing yoga, hiking, or playing with my dog - Stella. I am a writer and painter, currently working with colored pencils and mixed media. It's safe to say I enjoy crafty afternoons (without making a mess!). Tending to my garden brings me such joy, along with healthy cooking, and sharing knowledge about propagating different plants and vegetables.
