About Sophie

I am a nurturing, patient, enthusiastic, and engaging caregiver. I recently moved to San Francisco, but for the past two years I was a second grade classroom teacher at an independent school in New York City. I loved forming meaningful relationships with my students! My approach to childcare is patient, calm, enthusiastic, and fun. I aim to create a welcoming and friendly environment where children feel safe and comfortable. As a teacher, I taught literacy, math and social studies lessons. I have experience supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of my students, and am happy to support your child with their school work. I speak English and Spanish. I love to spend time outdoors or inside playing board games or doing puzzles. I am happy to help around the house with laundry, cooking meals, and cleaning.
