About Sophia

I have been around children, admiring, fostering, and caring about their growth since I was 9 years old. In high school I participated in an Early Childhood program, which is where my experience and trainings first began. I have been working as a preschool/pre-k teacher at a Learning Center and Daycare for the past 4 years. This experience helped me grow and learn how to provide children with proper support, care, and age appropriate education. My experience is primarily with ages 2 1/2 - 5. I love spending time outside, planning and participating in arts and crafts, supporting educational and emotional growth, and letting children learn through play and age appropriate boundaries. In my free time I enjoy being with family, spending time outside, and relaxing. I am working on completing my associates degree in Early Childhood education. I also complete a total of 23 hours of training a year for my teaching job, and participate in development training through staff meetings monthly.
