I graduated in May of 2020 from the University of Vermont, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Minor in Special Education. Since graduation, I have been working as a long term substitute teacher in a third grade classroom at Hiawatha Elementary School in Essex, Vermont, followed by teaching a second grade classroom at Shelburne Community School. Following the public school year I worked at an overnight summer camp focused on teaching campers farm and wilderness skills. The second half of the summer I set off on an adventure to hike the long trail, a 273 mile trail that stretches over the length of Vermont. My two summer experiences have helped me further develop my wilderness survival skills as well as understand the importance of slowing down and connecting with others. I have widespread experience working in education. I have teaching experience in urban, suburban, and rural settings. In addition to my teaching experience I have experience as a PCA.
