Within 5 minutes of arriving, Sophia asked how to tell the difference between front and back of diaper which is the most basic of needs for an infant; she seemed unsure and too nervous. We would have felt uncomfortable if we left her alone with an infant. She was gentle and friendly, and did a nice job reading with our son and doing a craft, but it was clear there hadn't been a lot of time spent with a young baby. I feel she misrepresented herself when we had a phone call prior to her taking the job. Lastly, Sophia didn't fasten the end-of-night diaper properly and our son was covered in pee in the morning. His diaper was down his leg, his pajamas, sleep sack, and sheets were all wet, which was very upsetting. She was very nice but we will not ask her back. As nervous first time parents, we need someone who is confident in infant care.
