About Sophia

I'm a mindful, friendly, and empathetic childcare provider with combined 3 years of experience as a nanny, education aide for a forest school, and babysitter. My passion for fostering children's growth and development through nature based play and social emotional learning definitely shines in how I engage with children. This extends beyond childcare, as I will be going back to school this year to pursue a therapy licensure. My educational background includes a degree in Psychology and a yearlong monastic training at a Buddhist monastery. I'm available to help with cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. I'm also First Aid and CPR certified. In terms of communication with parents, I follow their preferred method to ensure their concerns are addressed and their child's well-being is maintained. I do lean toward gentle approaches with compassionate boundaries.
