About Sophia

Hi! My name is Sophia, I am 23 years old. I am double majoring English and psychology with a minor in linguistics, I hope to become a children's speech pathologist. I started working with kids when I was 15. When I was younger I always gravitated towards trying to help the caregivers at my summer camps and schools with the younger kids so it just felt natural. Most of my previous jobs have been 30+ hours a week, and they included picking the kids up from school, doing homework and preparing snacks and dinner. Many also included watching younger children throughout the day and picking up their older siblings from school. I'm located in Brooklyn heights and westerleigh, Staten Island. I will have my assistant teaching certificate very soon. My skills include being very patient, willing to learn about what the kids are interested in and coming up with fun ideas and projects for the kids to do.
