About Sophia

As a babysitter and a nanny, I have a passion for kids and have developed a patience and sense of fun that is necessary when making academia more interesting to a child. I have extensive experience with infants, all the way through school-age children. Outside of the childcare world, my experiences include being a paid staffer for the Obama campaign, working in grassroots politics, and working for a network of charter schools. These experiences have helped make me savvy and determined, and significantly shape who I am and the work I do. Accordingly, I am a firm believer in early childhood education, and my babysitting style revolves around read alouds, outdoor play, and discussion.
