About Soobhan

Hello, my Irish name is said Shivon. :) I am an optimistic, energetic, Christian single mom whose two kids have left the roost. I was my grandmother's caregiver until she died, and then my dad's until he died in 2016. Over the years I have been a volunteer at nursing homes, and for many years went weekly to a facility to spend time with neighbors of mine who had dementia. I am a Catholic who used to visit parishioners to visit bring them communion weekly and all that ended with COVID. I miss my senior friends, kids, and animals (can't have them where I am) and have grown tired of working on the computer at home alone. I'm 47 but an old soul and my favorite hobbies are reading classic books to myself and out loud, genealogy and history buff, British mysteries and period dramas (book or TV), gardening, walking, puzzles and board/card games, and most of all talking about my faith and scripture (my degrees are in Theology). I'd love to spend time with someone who needs a smiling face!
