My name is Sonnia. I have 4 grown children that attend University. Education is very important for me, that is what I instilled in my children. I went back to college to finish a degree in Business Administration. I have 9 units in Child Development. I have 15 years of paid experienced working for East Whittier City and Rowland Unified School District as an Instructional Assistant. I am currently working with high school students translating and tutoring newcomers to this country. I started working with Special Needs children of various disabilities in 2005. I enjoy working with children and I get a great sense of accomplishment just to see that I was part of their success. I like playing, singing and painting with my students. They enrich my life. My hobbies are painting, traveling, reading and learning different languages, and exploring different cultures.
