About Sommer

Hi! I'm Sommer and I'm a PhD student at Florida State University. I love education, language learning, and sciences and believe knowledge should be as accessible for everyone. I have taught college-level biology & chemistry, & tutored geology, Spanish, & writing. I have experience as a teacher in a science themed summer camp for ages 7-13, and have published and presented interdisciplinary science to a variety of audiences. I've won awards for teaching and have turned grades around for at-risk students in my college courses. If you're looking for someone who loves science and writing, who is approachable and adaptive to a variety of student learning styles, and with a proven track record of success, I'm your tutor! I can assist with almost any science course up to a high school level, and college-level biology and environmental science courses. I can also assist beginner's with Spanish, French, and Russian and help refine your student's technical or essay writing skills.
