About Sommer

I am an energetic mom of one looking to continue providing quality care and educational services for young people and their families. I have 9+ experience as a youth program provider and coordinator. I have worked with kiddos ages 4 through 17+, providing dance education, college prep advising, and creative crafting and projects. I employ active listening, encourage decision-making, and model preferred behaviors with my young people. I actively engage young people and families in compassionate conversation, often encouraging kiddos to name their feelings, hurts, and needs. While we as adults may often find ourselves unequipped to address the immediate need of a young person, it is all the more essential that we assure them that they are seen and heard. I like to be a safe place to learn hard lessons. I look forward to making an impactful and lasting connection with a select few families.
