Hi there! I'm 25 years old and back in school to finish my last two years of undergrad. I am brand new to PDX but not to sitting! My experience started at a young age as I have 2 younger brothers and baby cousins whom I've babysat almost daily from the age of 12 and up. I also started sitting for a few family friends on the occasional weekend night out and after school around 16 years old. I'm very comfortable with kids especially those ranging from 2-10 as this is my age range that I have the most experience with. But these few couple years have been filled with new arrivals in the family and I do feel comfortable around infants. I love having an active part in playing with them and helping with different activities, including homework. I'm very open to meeting any specific needs so just let me know what you're looking for!

I interviewed Sofia while I was searching for a nanny for my kids. She was very responsive and seemed like a great fit. She also came to visit my home and met my family where I offered her the position and we arranged to start within 2 weeks. She seemed to be very good with my kids and we had high hopes. 3 days leading up to the start date I followed up with her to touch base. She didn't respond to texts, emails, or phone calls and essentially ghosted me. This was very surprising and unfortunately put me in a very tight spot as I needed childcare for my job. I really wish she had been upfront with me sooner so I would have had adequate time to find an alternative. I still think she was so sweet and it's too bad it didn't work out. I hope this experience can teach her that it's important to have open communication even if the conversation seems difficult. Best of luck Sofia.
