About Sofia

Growing up in costa rica I started off as a volunteer taking care of kids whose parents would go to night classes in underprivileged areas. I was referred through those families to others families and babysat all throughout high school while going to college at the same time. I've taken care of all ages from newborns up to their teen years. I do believe parents should feel at ease knowing that their children are going to have the best care. Later, an opportunity to work with kids with special needs opened and had the privilege to be able to sow into their lives. I'm certified as an HHA, CNA, CPR and have an associates in Health Sciences. I speak and write Spanish, have a car, can teach simple education (colors, abc, reading, etc.), will keep kids entertained, and I like the outdoors and will play with the kids. Patience is a skill that has to be developed working with special needs. Also not afraid of a challenge the kid might come into contact with.
