About Sobur

As a highly qualified math tutor with a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from the City College of New York (Class of 2019), I bring nearly a decade of experience in private tutoring to my students. Since 2015, I have successfully worked with a diverse range of learners, from elementary students building foundational skills to high school students preparing for SATs and subject-specific tests. My teaching approach is rooted in patience and clarity, ensuring that complex concepts are broken down into manageable, relatable parts. I understand that standardized tests can be intimidating, and I strive to create a supportive learning environment that builds confidence and mastery. By connecting lessons to real-life applications, I make the material more engaging and meaningful for my students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading manga, coding, and exploring new video games-interests that often inspire creative ways to connect with my students.
