Hi there! In a way, I started in child care when I was a child myself. My mother ran a day care at our home, and as soon as I could, I assisted with child care duties. I also have a brother 7 years my junior. I truly flourished as an older sister and took every opportunity to take on responsibility whether it be with play time or home work help. At the church I attended while growing up, I was always drawn towards assisting in the day care. I then began babysitting for members of the congregation outside of church. Through those connections, I found a few families I became a regular babysitter for. I love to encourage a child's imagination and promote a play time disconnected from technology. I studied sociology in college and am passionate about childhood development. I would love to be a positive impact, not just for the child, but for the whole family!
