About Skyler

Hello everyone, my name is Skyler. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and graduated from Texas State University in 2021. I am friendly, empathetic, dependable, and patient. I excel at problem solving and time management, I have great communication skills, and I am comfortable using technology-based platforms that might be necessary for tutoring your child. I have experience working with children in a variety of settings including as a tutor, a substitute teacher, and as a school social worker. In these positions it was crucial for me to be comfortable working with diverse students in a wide range of topics. I have successfully followed lesson plans built by other professionals, as well as have built my own lesson plans. I am comfortable with learning new material and can adjust to different learning styles. Additionally, in order to improve academic success, I work to build positive rapport with students and am mindful in providing encouraging feedback throughout sessions.
