About Skyla

Tutoring has always been one of my favorite extracurricular activities. I spent much of my time in college tutoring students at a local high school and I am currently a middle/high school biology tutor. I believe the most important quality to have as a tutor is patience and adapting to individual students learning styles. Learning new concepts is hard work and encouraging students to find the motivation is sometimes the hardest part! I am well-acquainted with conquering challenges and delving into complex scientific topics. I graduated from an ivy league university with a degree in neuroscience where I also balanced competing in collegiate track and field. In addition, I have recently completed my master's in biochemistry and molecular biology. I love everything science and as a pre-health student I have studied everything from chemistry to physics to biology.
